New Brandy Video and Song!

Brandy "Right Here (Departed)"

Brandy is back. I love this song and lyrics. I am glad she and Rodney Jerkins are a team again. I will be buying the album on November 11, 2008!

Lyrics:

When you feel your hearts guarded
And you see the breaks started
When the clouds have all departed
U'll be right here with me

B rock...
Darkchild..
We back..
U'll be right here with me

You'll be right here with me
oh, oh x16
You'll be right here with me

When your life is going to fast,
off the train tracks
I can slow it down, oh
just when you think your bout to turn back
'Stead you might crash
I'll be your ground, oh

oh when you feel your hearts guarded
and you see the breaks started
and when the clouds have all Departed
you'll be right here with me
and when your tears are dry from crying
and when the worlds turned silent
so when the clouds have all Departed
you will be right here with me.

oh oh x10
(x2)
I will be right here with you
You'll be right here with me

when your trapped and there's just no key
and you can't breathe
I breathe for you
the fire's got you down on both knees
and the walls are closing in but I will
break it through
and when you feel alone
I'm a be at home
Whenever's comes and go
you know i got you

oh when you feel your hearts guarded
and when you see the breaks started
and when the clouds have all Departed
you'll be right here with me
(you'll see the sun)
and when your tears are dry from crying, crying
and when the worlds turned silent, silent
so when the clouds have all Departed
you will be right here with me.

I will be here right beside you
every step you take, yea
I will be your strength your shelter
shield you from the rain

(x2)
(oh when you feel), oh when you feel your hearts guarded
and when you see the breaks started
and when the clouds have all Departed
you'll be right here with me (right here)
and when your tears are dry from crying
and when the worlds turned silent
so when the clouds have all Departed
you will be right here with me.

(x4)
I will be right here with you
You'll be right here with me

yea

Drink this! This will add to your healthy lifestyle.

No. 1 Super Food: Açaí
Nature's Energy Fruit

It may seem odd to start this list of superfoods with one you’ve likely never even heard of. But studies have shown that this little berry is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world! Açaí (ah-sigh-ee) is the high-energy berry of a special Amazon palm tree. Harvested in the rainforests of Brazil, açaí tastes like a vibrant blend of berries and chocolate. Hidden within its royal purple pigment is the magic that makes it nature's perfect energy fruit. Açaí is packed full of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. Although açaí may not be available in your local supermarket, you can find it in several health food and gourmet stores (often in juice form). A new product featuring the unsweetened pulp is now also available, and I highly recommend that you choose this form of açaí.

Açaí pulp contains:

  • A remarkable concentration of antioxidants that help combat premature aging, with 10 times more antioxidants than red grapes and 10 to 30 times the anthocyanins of red wine.
  • A synergy of monounsaturated (healthy) fats, dietary fiber and phytosterols to help promote cardiovascular and digestive health.
  • An almost perfect essential amino acid complex in conjunction with valuable trace minerals, vital to proper muscle contraction and regeneration.
The fatty acid content in açaí resembles that of olive oil, and is rich in monounsaturated oleic acid. Oleic acid is important for a number of reasons. It helps omega-3 fish oils penetrate the cell membrane; together they help make cell membranes more supple. By keeping the cell membrane supple, all hormones, neurotransmitter and insulin receptors function more efficiently. This is particularly important because high insulin levels create an inflammatory state, and we know, inflammation causes aging.

The Four Agreements

I will be discussing this on my show Wednesday. Get this book!

The Four Agreements®

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions

Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

Quote of the day

"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."

Maryann Williamson

A smile makes a difference!

Most of you know the I was dealing with male breast cancer. On Friday, I went to start my first round of chemotherapy. Once there, I realized I was the ONLY male there and felt alone. There was one woman in particular the made my day. When I looked at her, she had no hair on her ENTIRE body. I was like, "Wow!" I was not in awe of her not having hair, I was happy to see she still had a smile on her face. In that I accepted I was going to be alright. When I met with my doctor, they told me I didn't have to do chemotherapy. Instead I will start doing hormone therapy. Amen. I want to let the women (and men) going through cancer of any kind that you will be alright and just keep a smile on your face :^)

For You. For Me!!!

Serenity Prayer

Testing...1.2.3...Testing...

When I saw this image in my phone,
I was said to myself, "I feel just like this BLURRY..."
I know we are all tested but why now? What do I need to prepare for?

Then, I decided to listen to my Ipod and the song that played next was
Mariah Carey's Butterfly. This really helped me out.

Beautiful lyrics and very inspiring.

Now it's time for me to Let Go and Let God!

To be grateful...

I received an letter from the daughter of one of my talk show listeners. This letter moved me so much that it brought me tears LIVE on air while doing my show. I am still overwhelmed. I am very grateful for what I do and the people I touch with my life.

Here is the letter:

Hello Mr. Madison

I’ve only talk to you once but my mother is a big fan of yours. She listens to your show all the time. Her name is Denise and I’m her daughter Michelle.

On Sunday 8/3/2008 my mother called your show about owning a home and my Aunt Valerie told me it was by accident that she got on air. But for some reason you pick up the line. She said that my mother didn’t won’t to buy a house until I went to college. That’s why I’m writing you this letter.

I love my momma. She is great and I didn’t know that she was doing that for me. Mr. Madison we live in a not so good neighborhood, if you know what I mean. I never understood why until today.

Now don’t get me wrong if you were to walk in are house, you couldn’t tell that this was a house in the hood. I guess I could say I see why she hasn’t upgrade yet. She was doing it for us. My brother is in a private school and we never ever want for anything because my mother has a very good job. And she has always been there for me from elementary to high school.

She always taught me that no one will give you anything for free and you have to work for it yourself. Mr. Madison my mother has had it rough growing up. She was molested at 13, my grandma was mental abusive and she is the oldest out of six kids and she took care of ever last one of them and she is still taking care of them on top of all that my father used to beat her. But through all of that she still came out on top.

I love that woman and I just wanted her to know that so I’m writing you this letter so you could read this letter to her. Since she loves your show.

Mama we love you and thank you for all your sacrifices. And you are our HERO.

Mr. Madison I also want to thank you and your friend, Monica Anderson, for letting my mother know that she can buy her a house and still send me to college. You are a beautiful person and I can see why my momma adores you.

Quote of the day!

"I used to want to save the world, now I just want to leave the room with my dignity. Excuse me while I crawl out of here."

MIND YO BUSINESS...

Question: Why do people question my MOGUL-NESS?
Don't you have a lot going on JayMad? Hmmm.

Answer: If Diddy or Oprah was in front of
you, would you question what they do?
Or, is it because they have more resources than I?

MIND YO BUSINESS...

What I do is a reflection of what I am planning for MY future!

MIND YO BUSINESS...

I LOVE WHAT I DO AND I DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED.

Here's a quote for you negative people who take pride

DC = Don't Care or Does Care??? Part ll

Okay, I am back to my DC experience.

Once the driver picked us up from the club (I will call it The Twilight Zone), I was hungry as a mofo. I asked him could he take me to get some Chinese food. He did. All I have to say is, "Thank You, say no more!" LOL. It was the best Chinese food I've ever had. And, how about I can't remember the name of the place. Just damn! When I go back to DC, I will find it.

I went to my clients room and brought him his food and told him about the event. He was like WOW (another version of "Just Damn" if you ask me). I was out counting sheep after that.

The next day, Sunday, and last day for the 3-day weekend of events was my clients actual appearance day. I will say honestly, I was VERY optimistic about a good turnout that night. I got up with a smile on my face, ate breakfast and read the Washington Post.

I did my radio show as I always do on Sunday's and met up with one of my listeners (who is becoming a friend) and we went to one of my good friend's home for a intimate get-together. I was kinda reserved at first due to my personal site being down but once that was complete, it was on! I was very grateful for the formal introduction by my good friend as a celebrity photographer and talk show host. Words can't explain how that felt!

We discussed previous topics on my show and I received some very good responses. I gained 10 new listeners from the meeting. How about that! This went on for about an hour or so then I had to jet back to the hotel because our driver was there to pick us up to take us to the event. Once in the car, I was busy checking emails on my PDA en route to the venue when I hear, "WTF! and my client laughing out loud." When I looked up to see what was going on, I noticed there wasn't ANYONE at the club and the lights were off! I was like OMG! Then we realized we were at the wrong entrance...whew! LOL. When we drove down to the second entrance, there was that cricket sound. There was no one in line but the security. We're like, "Let's just make the best of this situation."

We entered the club and went to the back to set up product to be sold and mingled with the very small crowd and meet some great people. We took pics with fans and talked with one of my clients biggest fans who just happens to live in DC. He was a great person. He loved my client's product so much that he purchased product for all of the women around him. Wasn't that very nice or what? The mingling went on for 2 hours then we went back to the hotel. My client and his publicist went there separate ways and I had a small hangout session with another publicist and two female friends. We talked for 3 hours straight about life, politics and industry stuff. It's amazing how small the industry is!

What I got from this is the appreciation of planning and no matter what goes down, always NETWORK. You never know what the person next to you does for a living and their relationships with other people. Do you smell "6 Degrees of Seperation?" LOL. I want to thank the promoters for the wonderful hospitality! I know they did the best they could with this being there first big event.

DC is still one of my favorite cities!

I love my good friend Clay.

Get this!

A friend let me borrow this bag for my laptop. I love it!
Now how do I tell him thanks for the donation? Lmao!

Who does this belong too?

I was eating with a celebrity friend, and was amazed
how they carefully cut their pancakes before consuming.
Can you guess who's pancakes these are?

Drums roll...
(I will tell you Sunday on my blog talk show Aug 3rd...lol.)

JUST DAMN!

Question: If you are sitting next to someone on public transportation,
and you can smell their breath (their mouth is closed),
is this a security breach?
Just Damn!

Don't do this in NYC or NJ...

Most of us don't live in NYC or NJ but we travel to these places a lot. One thing I've learned is don't look like a TOURIST. You are marking yourself to get jacked up (mugged). Here is a cool site called: www.hopstop.com. It helps anyone trying to get around NYC or NJ and you can use from you cell phone too. It also works in other major metropolitian cities.
You can thank me
later...lol.

Photo of the Day!!!

I was playing with my camera phone and took this by mistake.
Nice huh? (singing..."These boots are made for walking..."). lol.

JUST DAMN!

Recently, I was on a plane and in the next row there sat a man who was very obese. The flight attendant had to get him an seat belt extender. I over heard someone behind me say,
"That's a shame. He need to pull it together!"
JUST DAMN!

DC = Don't Care or Does Care??? Hmmm.

Recently, most of you know I was in D.C. this week weekend. Whew! What a trip. I am going to write about my personal experience about my trip. Keep in mind, this is my personal experience. You've noticed the word personal is italicized and in bold twice. Wink. I will not disclose any names in this verbiage to minimize embarrassment. See, I'm a cool guy.

Okay, I arrived in D.C. on Friday via Dulles Airport to a private sedan with a celebrity client/friend. Nice - who doesn't like a private car with a chauffeur. He drove us on a slight tour of D.C. He took us by the Iwo Jima Memorial. Wow!

It was breath-taking and moving. I've been to D.C. tons of times but I've never seen it in person. It was beautiful and gigantic. It moved me because of all the men and women who are fighting for our freedom.

Next, we drove by the the Arlington National Cemetery. It was overwhelming to see all of the tombstones especially the Tombs of the Unknown. I wish the men and women there had closure with their love ones. God bless them.

We continue on our tour to Georgetown and immediately to the right was the stairs that was shown in the movie, "The Exorcist." I never knew that the movie was filmed in DC. Even though it was daylight when he drove us by, I still felt a little weird...seriously!

Once we passed the famous stairs, we headed to the undisclosed hotel. This was my first time at this hotel and have to say it was very nice! The rooms had a fantastic color scheme, great lighting, the carpet had nice texture and the bathroom was to die for. I wanted to rent a U-haul truck and empty that entire room and drive back to LA...lol.

We rest a little before we attend a fashion show later that night. We went from room to room to see how everyone was living. Once we did that, we showered and were ready to go.

We went to the event which was in the hotel and did the red carpet. We were the only ones there. Then we pulled out our VIP passes (remember we were invited...hmmm) and there was no one at the door. No greeter, no security, NOTHING. Then we enter the venue where the fashion show was being hosted and it was so dark if you didn't watch where you were going, you would have bumped into the wall. The fashion show was okay. I am huge supporter of new talent being exposed but some of the garments were of very pour quality and unflattering fabric patterns and cuts. The fashion show was over in about 30 minutes then we exited the venue. Everyone was on the red carpet. That was kind of backwards to me cause this is supposed to happen before the event...hmmm. We returned to our rooms and went to sleep.

I had to get up the next morning before my client to make sure our next event was up to par for him. The event was supposed to be from 3pm - 9pm. There were only 15-20 people there. This included the event staff. Do you hear crickets?

The publicist and I sat there for 4 hours looking at each other and trying to figure out how to sell my clients products. That didn't happen. The driver comes back to pick us up to take us back to the hotel so we could get ready for the next event that night. I can honestly say we were optimistic. My client comes to my room to ask how everything went earlier that day after his massive phone interviews. Didn't have much to say. And, he was asked not to show up for the event that night due to possible overexposure. So his publicist and I get ready to go to the club event that was going on for us that night. We get to the club and I seriously thought I was in the twilight zone! Once in, we practically were TSA searched by security. Is it that in DC? Hmmm.

Once we get into the club, there was some dude having a birthday party with video camera and all. I was like, "Am I being Punk'd?!" The publicist asked me to stay downstairs to see what was going on upstairs. I waited there for 30 minutes before I decided to see for myself.

You go up these huge flight of stairs to the 2nd level and there was another club area. It was Latino Music and people. I was like cool but where is the publicist and where are we supposed to set-up. I asked the security guard where are we supposed to set-up, and he looked at me like I was talking like the parents on the Charlie Brown cartoons...lol.

I go up stairs to the 3rd floor and there was that sound again, crickets. There was only 10 people there and 3 barmaids. Wow! Where is everyone? I must be on the set of the new X-Files movie. I was waiting for someone to come out and say, "SURPRISE!!!" Just know that didn't happen. I was still optimistic because I know how people like to be fashionably late. How about I got my reality check quick.

I called for the driver and he was in the process of taking the first group back to the hotel. Who does that? That's very dangerous. If something happened, we would have been in big trouble especially being in a area and city that was foreign to us.

There's more. Part II coming Thursday.

Welcome

What's up Fans and Friends,

This is my first official blog for the JayMadShow. This came to me this morning to do a blog. I've tried to do blogging before but I stop. I can honestly say, "This is my time."

This blog will allow me to share with you what is going on with me personally (to some degree) and professionally.
I am working on doing podcast and videos for you to stay inspired. I do believe my calling is to inspire and motivate.

I am grateful that I have the strength and vision to do this. I don't take this for granted. So with that being said, " THANK YOU!"

Now let me start giving you your reality pill.
Open wide!
